According to the Sensory Integration approach, there are eight sensory systems that work together in order for us to adapt and respond to our environment. Essentially it outlines all the ways in which a caregiver could interact with an infant… and is a letter from the infant’s perspective. It’s beautiful, genuine, sweet, and kind.
