Meet Dr. Emily

Emily (she/her) is a trailblazer in the world of pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and newborn care.

As the founder and CEO of Be Well Baby, Emily brings a unique blend of expertise as a doctor of physical therapy, certified neonatal therapist, yoga teacher, and seasoned perinatal professional. Her journey began in the NICU, where she recognized a profound gap in holistic peripartum care. In response, she combined her skills and background to create a comprehensive approach for birthing people and their babies.

“My passion for working with newborns is contagious, and I have a deep respect and appreciation for their little bodies and brains. I believe that all of us need help with our bodies—and the best place to start is at the beginning.” - Emily

Emily is the creator and lead facilitator of the Beyond Birth Blueprint, and believes everyone should have access to thoughtful and thorough birth and postpartum education. In her spare time (hah!) she brings one to three of her kiddos with her to crossfit!

Meet Dr. Daniella

Daniella (she/her) will hit a decade of being a board certified Doctor of Physical Therapy in June of 2025! She began working in New York City, her home turf, in adult Neurology, fascinated by the central and peripheral nervous system and all that our brains and bodies can do.

She moved to Oregon in 2018 where her love and infatuation for all categories of pediatric physical therapy began to evolve. She has worked in outpatient pediatrics, the Neonatal ICU, the Pediatric ICU, and everything in between.

In the last 6 years Daniella has become the infant specialist at Doernbecher Children’s hospital, primarily focusing all her time, brain power, and devotion to patients 12 months and under. She has seen it all in her time at DCH and is now excited to share her wealth of knowledge and expertise with the Be Well Baby family!

Meet Carly

Carly Andre (she/her), MOT, OTR/L, is one of those rare pediatric occupational therapists who seems to know exactly what each baby and family needs—whether it’s navigating the tiniest details of feeding, supporting development in a complex NICU case, or simply holding space for overwhelmed parents. With over a decade of experience in both rural and hospital-based settings, Carly brings deep clinical skill and even deeper compassion to her work.

She began her OT career at a small hospital in Montana, treating both pediatric and adult patients. Since then, she has spent the last 7 years at Doernbecher Children’s Hospital, where she works across the NICU, PICU, and inpatient units. Carly has become a trusted expert in infant care and early development, known for her calm presence, interdisciplinary collaboration, and whole-family approach to healing and growth. She’s especially passionate about co-occupation, responsive care, and helping families feel confident and connected, no matter the challenges they’re facing.

Meet Dr. Keri

Keri (she/her) is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and a mom, and she’s incredible at what she does. She has a deep passion for working with infants in their first three years, helping them reach their full developmental potential through a holistic, hands-on approach.

With expertise in bodywork, neuromotor development, pelvic floor therapy, and breathing mechanics, Keri treats little ones as whole people, addressing the root causes of movement and feeding challenges. She has a special interest in neurological and motor development, as well as musculoskeletal restrictions that can impact feeding—like torticollis and myofascial tension.

Keri is always learning, growing, and expanding her toolbox to better serve babies and their families. Her dedication, knowledge, and heart make her an invaluable part of our team, and we are so lucky to have her!

Angela Truby (she/her) is a Portland-based home birth midwife with over 20 years of experience supporting families through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. In 2000, Angela gave birth to her first daughter, Willa Clare, at home in a birth pool with her husband by her side. That experience—immersed in the intimacy, tenderness, and power of birth—ignited her calling to midwifery and shaped the way she supports families today.

After attending her first births as a doula, Angela trained at Birthingway College of Midwifery and completed her apprenticeship at Alma Midwifery, attending over 100 births. In 2009 she became a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM), later earning her Oregon and Washington Midwife licenses, and in 2012 she founded Glow Midwifery. Since then, she has served hundreds of families, attending over 750 births as of 2025.

Angela’s approach to care is rooted in trust, compassion, and respect for the body’s wisdom. She cherishes the intimate, powerful moments of labor—the tenderness between partners, the instinctive movements that help babies descend, and the first breaths taken in loving arms. Her goal is to help families feel empowered, supported, and joyful throughout their pregnancy and birth journey.

When she’s not “catching babies,” Angela loves spending time with her husband Seth and their two daughters, making music, singing with Cantores in Ecclesia and Choral Arts Ensemble, and playing the clawhammer banjo!

Meet Midwife Angela

As part of the Beyond Birth Blueprint, Angela now offers adjunct prenatal visits, curated to your individual experience.

These monthly visits are perfect for families who want more personalized, unhurried care—whether you’re in an area without access to midwifery or simply want more than the 15-minute appointment your OB can provide. Wherever you are in the world, this is accessible to you!

Each visit is designed to meet your needs, answer your questions, and prepare you and your family for a safe, supported birth experience.

Meet Katelyn

Katelyn Cnossen is a gifted speech-language pathologist and infant feeding specialist who brings a rare combination of deep clinical expertise and genuine heart to everything she does. With nearly a decade of experience supporting babies in the NICU at OHSU, Katelyn is an expert in complex feeding and swallowing—especially in medically fragile infants.

She’s passionate about helping families feel confident and supported through every stage of early feeding, from the very first drops of breast milk to the exciting (and sometimes overwhelming!) introduction of solids. Her approach blends evidence-based care with a deep respect for each baby’s unique experience. Katelyn is known for crafting developmentally supportive, nurturing feeding plans—even in the most challenging situations.

Whether she’s helping a baby breastfeed after a long NICU stay or guiding a family through solids with confidence and joy, Katelyn brings warmth, collaboration, and a whole-family lens to every visit.

Meet Faith

Faith (she/her) is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) with over 17 years of experience supporting families in both inpatient and outpatient settings from pregnancy through weaning phase. With expertise working in the Family Birth Center (FBC), NICU, and PICU, Faith is deeply committed to providing comprehensive, compassionate care.

Faith advocates for and supports all babies and parents facing feeding and latching concerns, regardless of whether they are providing human milk. She is dedicated to offering inclusive antepartum, postpartum, and family-centered care, addressing complex lactation challenges and ensuring the highest standard of support for every family.

Known for her advanced expertise in areas such as tongue tie, low milk supply, flange fitting, and bottle feeding refusal, Faith continuously enhances her knowledge through classes and conferences. Her approach focuses on identifying and addressing the root causes of feeding difficulties, providing practical, individualized feeding plans that are specifically tailored to each family’s unique needs.

Meet Emma

Emma first came to our postpartum support group as a new mama herself and describes the experience as life-changing. The community, connection, and tools she found here carried her through the early months of motherhood—and now she’s excited to step into the role of facilitator to support other families in that same transformative season.

Emma’s professional background is rooted in teaching and caregiving. She has spent years working one-on-one with children and families in the water, blending her lifelong love of swimming with a gift for meeting each individual exactly where they are. Whether supporting a baby on the autism spectrum, helping a young swimmer build confidence, or guiding a parent learning to feel safe with their child in the water, Emma’s approach has always been grounded in patience, empathy, and respect.

That same philosophy carries into her work with postpartum parents: honoring each person’s unique journey, creating a safe space for vulnerability, and reminding families that they don’t have to do it alone. Emma is passionate about helping parents find comfort, community, and their own strength in the tender postpartum months.

We aim to set a new standard in perinatal healthcare.”
